Welcome InterAction’s Newest Team Member- Gwen Smith!
InterAction for Health and Human Rights is thrilled to announce that the remarkable Gwen Smith has joined our team to work within the InterLink project.
Gwen is an intersex woman deeply committed to peer support, particularly through fostering group connections where she engages as a participant, peer support worker, or co-facilitator. She has served on the board of Intersex Peer Support Australia and currently acts as a co-representative for Victoria, Australia. Gwen works as a peer support navigator with Interlink and contributes to multiple advisory groups that guide government and NGOs on intersex issues. A strong advocate of person-centred, somatic and trauma-informed psychotherapy, she is completing her bachelor’s in counselling and psychology while undergoing training in psychodrama and emotion-focused therapy. She is passionate about creating pathways for intersex individuals to connect with health providers who can enhance their physical and mental well-being. She believes that with the right support and by connecting intersex people with peers, they can reclaim their agency and lead fulfilling lives.
