Side event: Fulfilling the human rights of intersex people, 18 September

If you're in Geneva for the UN Human Rights Council, join us at a special side event on Thursday 18 September.

Over the past decade, we’ve seen some important developments to protect the human rights of intersex people. However, most UN member states still have a long way to go. Too many intersex people are still facing harmful practices and exclusions, with no laws or policies in place to protect them. This Wednesday, 17 September, we’re showing up at the UN Human Rights Council alongside intersex human rights defenders and civil society allies to push for real change. We are raising our voices for bodily integrity and autonomy—because everyone deserves to make their own informed decisions about their bodies, and live free from violence and discrimination. Join us!

The side event is being held in collaboration with a range of civil society organisations, including InterAction.
