Express interest in InterMission retreat for advocates, 14-16 August, SE Queensland

Do you want to get involved in advocacy? Are you already involved and want to get community connected? We have funding for an advocacy-focused retreat. Express interest in participating from 14-16 August in Tamborine Mountain, SE Queensland. Accommodation and food are funded, and we have some funding available for people on low incomes to travel to the event.

Strong Women, Shared Paths: A Transformative Weekend of Connection on Wonnarua Country

From 6th to 8th March 2026, something truly special unfolded on Wonnarua Country in the Hunter Valley. InterAction for Health and Human Rights held Strong Women, Shared Paths with support from the NSW State Government as a part of Women’s Week celebrations. This was the first retreat of its kind for women and non‑binary people with innate variations of sex characteristics and participants travelled from near and far for a deeply moving, joyful, and unforgettable gathering.

Join us at University of Sydney or online from 11am to 1pm AEDT on Thursday 26 February for a very special event with Dr Lih-Mei Liao. Lih-Mei is one of the world's top experts on psychosocial issues and mental health of people with innate variations of sex characteristics. The event will also feature responses from Velissa Aplin and Bonnie Hart, and be chaired by Associate Professor Morgan Carpenter.

InterSpace Retreat 2025: A Collective Exhale

From Friday 14 to Sunday 16 November, Intersex Peer Support Australia (IPSA) hosted the InterSpace Retreat at King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre, nestled in the spectacular Pennyroyal Valley of the Otway Ranges near the Great Ocean Road and Lorne. Surrounded by nature, the retreat offered a nurturing environment for reflection, connection, and celebration.

Our Australian staff and board live and work on First Nations lands. We recognise that sovereignty over this land was never ceded and that this always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
