The Darling 2025 Winner Announced

At InterAction's Intersex Awareness Day Online Gala on Sunday 26th October, the highlight of the evening's celebrations was the announcement of The Darling- the award given to ally individuals or organisations who have made a contribution beyond signing the Darlington Statement to progress the health and human rights of people with innate variations of sex characteristics in Australia. And in 2025, the award was presented to two worthy winners- Dr Thomas Drake-Brockman and Dr Jasmine Davis.

Thank you to ILGA World for recording and releasing this podcast, in their series "Making Rainbow Waves". It records intersex advocates who were in Geneva in September 2025 for the first-ever UN Human Rights Council session on intersex human rights.

Congratulations on 12 years of visionary leadership

Today we celebrate 12 years of visionary leadership from Dr Morgan Carpenter, who has steered the evolution of what began as OII Australia, became Intersex Human Rights Australia, and now operates proudly as InterAction for Health and Human Rights.

Making justice: Mauro Cabral Grinspan’s fight for intersex depath­ologisation

At the intersection of human rights, medical ethics, and bodily autonomy stands Mauro Cabral Grinspan - a historian, activist, and intersex advocate whose work has reshaped global conversations on gender, health, and justice. At the recent 2025 World Association for Sexual Health Congress in Brisbane, Mauro coordinated and chaired an Intersex, Sexual Health and Human Rights Symposium.
