Callan Hales

InterLink Peer Navigator

Callan is an intersex peer worker, qualified psychotherapist and artist living and working on Wurundjeri country. Callan has worked on co-designing InterLink resources, and has been an outspoken member of the intersex community speaking on various platforms including JOY 94.9 and the ABC.

Callan is passionate about supporting people with innate variations of sex characteristics to build self-understanding that leads to happier, healthier and more empowered lives. With a background in disability support, Callan approaches his work in an affirmative, person-centred and trauma-informed manner that is collaborative, relational and grounded in empathy and respect. He holds a deep reverence for the uniqueness of each person’s lived experience and is a firm believer that each of us can enact positive change in our lives.
