The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Government is to be commended for being the first jurisdiction to legislate protections that require public consultation on General Treatment Plans that determine treatment for specified groups of people with innate variations of sex characteristics.

This allows for a degree of oversight and transparency that is lacking in other jurisdictions.

We're grateful for the opportunity to provide written feedback in response to a draft General Treatment Plan for the treatment of infants diagnosed with testosterone insufficiency.
