IHRA has made a formal submission to the New South Wales Parliament's Joint Select Committee inquiry into the Anti-Discrimination Amendment (Religious Freedoms and Equality) Bill 2020, introduced by Mark Latham MLC.

The submission provides a detailed background briefing on intersex people and religion, intended to increase awareness and understanding of the diversity of the intersex population. It takes much the same form as our submission to a federal inquiry on a Commonwealth religious freedoms bill in January. We also benefitted from participation in briefings by Equality Australia.
