Equality Australia today launched The Missing Voice, a groundbreaking report that shines a light on the medical interventions still being performed on intersex children in Australia.
From Friday 14 to Sunday 16 November, Intersex Peer Support Australia (IPSA) hosted the InterSpace Retreat at King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre, nestled in the spectacular Pennyroyal Valley of the Otway Ranges near the Great Ocean Road and Lorne. Surrounded by nature, the retreat offered a nurturing environment for reflection, connection, and celebration.
On a joyful evening at the Victorian Pride Centre in St Kilda, Melbourne (Naarm), Intersex Peer Support Australia (IPSA) celebrated its 40th birthday — marking four decades as the longest running intersex organisation in Australia, and possibly the world.
On Kaurna Country in Adelaide, South Australia, the Better Together conference was held on Friday 31 October and Saturday 1 November 2025. This annual gathering of LGBTIQA+ communities, allies, and advocates brought together diverse voices to share knowledge, celebrate achievements, and confront challenges.

Despite considerable achievements, the sustainability of the intersex movement is threatened by lack of funding for our organisations. In response, the global intersex movement has issued this statement launching a Global Solidarity Campaign to fund intersex futures.

InterAction's Intersex Awareness Day Online Gala 2025 was a special evening filled with celebration, pride, acknowledgement and the warmth of community.
At InterAction's Intersex Awareness Day Online Gala on Sunday 26th October, the highlight of the evening's celebrations was the announcement of The Darling- the award given to ally individuals or organisations who have made a contribution beyond signing the Darlington Statement to progress the health and human rights of people with innate variations of sex characteristics in Australia. And in 2025, the award was presented to two worthy winners- Dr Thomas Drake-Brockman and Dr Jasmine Davis.
