Today we are 10! Intersex Human Rights Australia Ltd was formally incorporated as a not-for-profit company on 6 May 2010, under the name OII Australia. Today we celebrate 10 years of advocacy and work to ensure that the human rights and health of people with intersex variations are recognised and respected.
This weekend, IHRA held a strategic planning day in Williamstown, Melbourne, followed on Sunday 17 November by our AGM in Altona and a Family Day at Altona Homestead.

The Board of OII Australia is excited to announce that, after many years of operating entirely through the work of volunteers, our two co-chairs will become our joint Executive Directors as of 1 December 2016.
Changes at the 2015 AGM and a subsequent board meeting include the election of Tony Briffa, Morgan Carpenter, Candice Cody and Alex David to the board. Morgan and Tony are appointed co-chairs. Alex is secretary, and Candice is treasurer.
A number of changes to directorships took place in today's board meeting of Organisation Intersex International Australia Limited, including appointments, departures, and changes in role.
Five years ago today, Organisation Intersex International Australia Limited was officially registered by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission as a not-for-profit company.
OII Australia held its Annual General Meeting today, and appointed a new board. Gina Wilson, our founding president, has stepped down from board positions.

Acknowledgement of Country
Our Australian staff and board live and work on First Nations lands. We recognise that sovereignty over this land was never ceded and that this always was and always will be Aboriginal land. We acknowledge the continued connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to land, waterways and community and pay our respects to all First Nations people.
