Congratulations to the organisers on a large and successful intersex studies conference at the University of Bologna, 4-5 June 2018!
The two day event provided a multi-disciplinary forum for intersex people and advocates, and intersex studies scholars to meet and discuss a wide range of topics including psychological, philosophical, legal, health and medical, sociological and political science approaches to the existence, needs and circumstances of intersex people. Multiple Australians participated including Morgan Carpenter, Stephanie Lum, Agli Zavros-Orr and Aileen Kennedy. This conference was made possible by a grant provided by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement (number 703352) and by support from the University of Huddersfield.
